Laval Virtual @Mondial Tech Paris – From 2 to 6 October

Laval Virtual will join the Mondial Tech Parisfrom 2nd to 6th OctoberParis Expo Porte de Versailles, with a B2B event held jointly with the best attended car show in the world.

Since 1999, Laval Virtual has become one of the European leader in the fields of Virtual technologies and uses of the virtual world. On this occasion, Laval Virtual has become a partner at the Mondial Tech Paris, the conference focused on the future of transportation with 250 speakers, more than 100 exhibitors and 40 000 attendees every year.

The event will take place at the new area B2B in the Paris motor show dedicated to AR&VR from October 2nd to 6th, and it will host 325 exhibitors from 50 different countries. EuroVR 2018 London 22th-23th October

The EuroVR association is pleased to announce the 15th annual EuroVR2018 conference, which will take place at the Savoy Place, London, UK, from 22th to 23th October.

The convention aims to create networks and to stimulate discussions of new results and applications related to the field of Virtual Reality (VR) up-to Mixed Reality (MR) technologies, bringing together people from industry, commerce, research and all those interested in virtual reality.

 

Call for papers

EuroVR2018 Conference also provide authors the opportunity to contribute with their works: Scientific/Technical papers accepted by the International Program Committee (IPC) will be published in a special issue of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series edited by Springer. In addition, some of the best papers will be selected by a special committee to be invited to submit an extended version to the open access journal Frontiers in Virtual Environments.

Web3D Conference 2018 in June

Web3D is an annual international conference for 3D Graphics celebrating its 23rd year. 2018 is a historic year for 3D on the Web and Mixed Reality. With WebGL now widely supported by browsers, tools such as X3D, X3DOM, X-ITE, three.js, glTF, and A-Frame VR are allowing to create 3D content on the Web.

EuroVR President at AVRA Days Skolkovo

EuroVR President Marco Sacco has been invited to present the EuroVR Association during the Russian event “AVRA Days Skolkovo”.

Taking place on October 24th 2017 in Moscow, the conference AVRA DAYS Skolkovo will show the possibilities of AR / VR-technologies for solving business problems and integration into business processes and to have a talk about the efficiency of technology implementation.

IEEEVR 2018, Reutlingen, 18 – 22 Mar, 2018: Call for Papers

Since 1993, the IEEE Virtual Reality conference has been the premier international venue for the presentation of research results in the broad area of virtual reality (VR). Similarly, the IEEE Symposium on 3D User Interfaces (3DUI), which started as a workshop at IEEE VR in 2004, has become the premier venue for 3D user interfaces and 3D interaction in VR environments. This year VR and 3DUI have been merged into a single IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces, with the short name IEEE VR.

TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS

IEEE VR 2018 features two categories of submissions: (i) VR Papers, and (ii) VR Notes. Both categories have their own program committees, submission processes, and review processes.

  • VR Papers: Submissions to this category should be 8–10 pages in length, and should contain substantial scientific contributions to the field of VR and 3D user interfaces, and when appropriate provide complete and substantial support for results and conclusions. All accepted VR Paper submissions will automatically be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG) and will also include an oral presentation at IEEE VR.
  • VR Notes: Submissions to this category should be 4–8 pages in length, and would typically reflect a more narrow (yet still significant) scope of contribution than VR Papers. VR Notes are not expected to cover all aspects of a typical journal article, instead they may cover one or two specific areas in depth, or relatively early work. The submission deadline for VR Notes will be after the notification for VR Papers submissions. All accepted VR Notes submissions will also include an oral presentation at IEEE VR.

IEEE VR 2018 seeks original, high-quality research, application and systems papers in all areas related to virtual reality (VR), including augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and 3D user interfaces (3DUIs). Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

SUBMISSION DEADLINES

Each deadline is 23:59:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth) == GMT/UTC-12:00 on the stated day, no matter where the submitter is located.

The submission deadlines will be strictly enforced. Requests for extensions will not be honoured
